BAMBOO PROTECTS ENVIRONMENT
Bamboo is the most wonderful plant in the world, it has the most usefulness. Bamboo not only brings economic benefits, but also distributes to protect environment, BambuBuild will point out the benefits of bamboo to our habitat!

Bamboo absorbs a large amout of CO2
Bamboo absorbs CO2 4 times as much as normal wooden trees, helps to reduce the greenhouse effect. The research in Japan has demonstrated that bamboo can absorb as much as 12 tonnes of carbon dioxide per hectare per year, beside, bamboo releases 35% more oxygen into the atmosphere than an equivalent stand of hardwood trees. The process of photosynthesis of bamboo can lower light intensity and protect people against ultraviolet rays. (Source)
Therefore, bamboo planting brings cleaner-air and greatly contributes to reduce the effects of global warming and climate change.

Bamboo planting protects marine environment
because bamboo has a capacity for very high nitrogen uptake, so bamboo also helps to reduce river runoff and reduce water pollution

Bamboo planting prevents landslide and soil erosion
With strong root systems, cling to the soil and spreading over large area, bamboo prevents landslide along the river banks during floods.
Especially, when bamboo grows thickly will create the windbreaks that reduce the devastation of typhoon and hurricane.
When forests are cut down for wood, the stumps are burned to provide fertilizer and space for next growing crops. The soil underneath is usually left to erode, with the nutrients and leftover topsoil being washed away by the rain. However, bamboo will regenerate itself after harvest without planting new trees. The bamboo roots still exist there for the next season, so that it will prevent erosion and retain nutrients for the soil.
For the land have been damaged by overgrazing or poor farming conditions, people oftens plant bamboo as a staring way to restore the land. (Source)
